Head of Reportorial Radio Kogi Receives Meritorious Service Award

An award of meritorious service has been confered on the Deputy Director News and Current Affairs Department Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation Hajia Habibatullah Onakpa Abdallah by the Igala/Bassa women Unity Forum.

Speaking on the reason behind the award the President of the forum Mrs Fatima Joseph explained that the forum has been following the awardees life style as a public servant ,unionist , wife and a mother and realised that she really deserves the honour.

Mrs Fatima noted that the forum will continue to identify hard-working and responsible Igala Bassa women in all sectors for recognition noting that the honour is to encourage them to do more for the over all development of the state and Igala kingdom.

Earlier in her remark, the awardee, Comrade Habibatullah Onakpa Abdallah and the Head of Reportorial Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation appreciated the Igala Bassa women Unity forum for the recognition stressing that it will spur her to do more for the development of the society.

She Congratulated the forum on their second successful outing and promised to remain committed to the growth of the forum.

Other prominent Igala Bassa women recognised include Former APC women leader Hajia Salamatu Beiwa Eluma, Iye Igala Lagos chief Martha Ajenshola,Chief Mrs Charity Sule the Iganya Attah Igala among others.

The wife of the state Governor who was represented at the occasion by Deaconess Margret Eleojo Joel Salifu Oyibo congratulated the awardees and urged them to continue to be role models for the younger generation.

The event which took place at the Civic centre Attah Igala’s palace attracted dignitaries from within and outside the country.
