PAAU Mourns Director Centre For Pre-Degree, Prof Enojo

The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi State, has announced the death of the Director of its Centre for Pre-Degree and Diploma Studies, Prof. Kennie Enojo.

Enojo, a Professor of Political Economy, died in the early hours of Friday, August 7, 2026, in a protracted illness.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Salisu Usman, described his death as a painful and colossal loss to the university community.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Uredo Omale, Usman described the late don as a distinguished scholar, committed administrator and dedicated teacher whose contributions to the development of the university would remain indelible.

He said, “Prof. Enojo, fondly called ‘The State’ by colleagues, dedicated his years of service to the pursuit of academic excellence.

His wealth of experience and contributions to scholarship and administration will be greatly missed.”

Usman commiserated with the family of the deceased, the Department of Political Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Centre for Pre-Degree and Diploma Studies, as well as colleagues, students and associates of the late professor.

He prayed for the repose of his soul and for the fortitude for his family and the university community to bear the loss.

Enojo joined the services of the university as a Graduate Assistant on November 1, 2002, and rose through the ranks to become a professor on October 1, 2023.
