The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates to upload and verify their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, in a move aimed at making the admission process easier, faster and more secure.
The Board said the initiative begins with the verification of results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), with candidates now able to have their results verified directly against the records of the examination body.
According to JAMB’s Ag. Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the new arrangement is part of the Board’s renewed commitment to providing efficient and accessible services to candidates through technology.
Benjamin explained that the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies would eliminate some of the difficulties associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up certificates, presentation of fraudulent or unverified results, and errors in entering subjects and grades.
Under the new process, candidates are required to first obtain a result verification code by visiting the designated verification platform, providing their NIN and examination details, and completing the required payment.
After successful verification, candidates are to send “VERIFY” followed by their verification code to 55019 or 66019. The result will then be uploaded, after which candidates with two sittings will be directed to their e-Facility profiles to complete the process.
On the e-Facility dashboard, candidates can access the “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” option, where their verified results will be displayed. They are required to select between five and nine relevant subjects, ensuring that no subject is selected more than once, before submitting the results.
Benjamin said the system would provide candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network congestion at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
He added that the initiative reflected the commitment of JAMB’s sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to building a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system.
He assured candidates that the Board would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible.
The new arrangement is expected to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres while strengthening the verification process and protecting the integrity of candidates’ academic records.
