The Kogi State Security Trust Fund has presented refurbished operational Hilux vehicles to the State Broadcasting Corporation.
The Security Trust Fund also presented refurbished vehicles to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery and enhance operational efficiency in the state.
The refurbishing of a hilux vehicle for the State Broadcasting Corporation by the State Security Trust Fund followed an accident on the top of Mount Patti last year that made the utility hilux of the corporation to be written off.

The intervention of the State Security Trust in presenting a refurbished Hilux to the state Radio did not only come as a relief but an impetus to ensure effective information dissemination by the State Broadcasting Corporation.
The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Air Vice Marshal Umar Omeiza Farouk (Rtd.), said the gesture reflects the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration to supporting critical institutions with the logistics needed for effective service delivery.

Air Vice Marshall Omeiza Faruk Retired said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has given the security trust fund the enabling environment to operate noting that the agency decided to refurbish the vehicles to support the state government to combat criminals and assist critical institutions urgent needs.
He called on the management of Kogi State Broadcasting corporation to use the security vehicle for the purposes intended noting that media activities is important for the dissemination of government’s activities.
Receiving the refurbished Hilux vehicle on behalf of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, the Director-General, Princess Nana Hauwa Yussuff, expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund for the kind gesture.

Princess Nana Hauwa Yussuff described Air Vice Marshal Umar Omeiza Farouk (Rtd.) as a visionary leader whose unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies and public institutions has continued to complement Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s drive towards a safer and more progressive Kogi State.
She noted that the refurbished vehicle would greatly enhance the operational capacity of Radio Kogi in the discharge of its responsibility of informing, educating, and entertaining the public.
The Director-General also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his sustained support for Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation and other government institutions, assuring that Radio Kogi will continue to uphold professionalism and promote government policies and programmes.
Similarly, representatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Federal Road Safety Corps appreciated the Kogi State Security Trust Fund for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful in strengthening their operational activities.
Present at the ceremony were members of the management staff of Radio Kogi, top officials of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, and representatives of the beneficiary agencies.
