The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media (Office of the First Lady), Janet Ovayoza Samuel, has congratulated the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Governments, Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, on his emergence as Chairman of the Conference of Auditors-General for Local Governments in Nigeria.
Adabenege emerged chairman at the 30th conference of the body held in Lokoja, Kogi State.
In a congratulatory message she personally signed, Janet Ovayoza Samuel described Adabenege’s emergence as a significant national achievement and a moment of pride for Kogi State and Okehi Local Government Area.
She said the appointment reflected the confidence reposed in him by his colleagues across the country, noting that it was a recognition of his competence, dedication and leadership qualities.
Samuel also lauded Adabenege for the successful hosting of the 30th conference in Kogi State, saying the feat had further projected the state positively at the national level.
According to her, the achievement is particularly significant to Okehi LGA, describing Adabenege as one of its illustrious sons whose accomplishments have continued to bring honour to the area.
She added that his elevation to a national leadership position would serve as encouragement to youths in the state who aspire to contribute meaningfully to public service.
“As my leader and brother, I celebrate not only your new position but also the journey of service, commitment and excellence that has brought you to this point,” she said.
Samuel expressed confidence that Adabenege would bring his experience and administrative capacity to bear on his new assignment, especially in strengthening transparency, accountability and professionalism in local government auditing across the country.
She prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for the new chairman and wished him a successful tenure.
