Corps members in Kogi state have been charged to shun acts of indiscipline during and after their service year.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo gave the charge in a message to the swearing in ceremony of the twenty-twenty-four Batch ‘B” stream one deployed to the state at the National Youth Service Corp’s (NYSC) Orientation Camp Asaya.
The Governor who was represented by the Director Youth, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mallam Abubakar Abdullahi advised the Corps members to displayed exemplary character and shun indiscipline.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo advised them to take advantage of NYSC’s initiative skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development programme to become self reliant.
The Governor called on security agencies to ensure adequate security of the Corps members during and after their service year in the state.
Governor Ododo charged the corps members to obey the rules and regulations of the camp.
The Governor while declaring the twenty-twenty four batch B Stream One orientation course open, assured them of the hospitality of the people of the state and their safety.
Kogi State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Femi Osungbobun advised Corps members to follow the rules and regulations of the camp in all the activities.
Mr. Osungbobun warned them to avoid unnecessary outing during the orientation course and thanked the State Government for their corporation and support.
