The Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, NITP, has unveiled its programme of activities for the 2026/2027 professional year.
The Chapter also inaugurated new standing committees to drive its affairs for the year.
This was made known at the Chapter’s monthly general meeting held in Lokoja.
Speaking at the meeting, the State Chairman, Tpl. Sani Daniel, described the new programme as a roadmap to strengthen professional development, collaboration, and service delivery.
He said the year’s activities will include capacity-building programmes, public enlightenment campaigns, stakeholder engagements, and community outreach, all aimed at promoting orderly and sustainable urban development in the state.
Tpl. Daniel charged members of the newly inaugurated committees to work with dedication, transparency, and teamwork.
He called on all members to support the leadership and reaffirmed the Chapter’s readiness to partner with the Kogi State Government on urban renewal and development control.
Members praised the leadership for the clear direction and pledged full support for the implementation of the new programme.
