Deenfield International Academy graduating students have been advised to remain focused in their studies and follow their passions to attain a higher height.
The Chairman of the occasion, Mallam Sulaiman Yaro, who gave the advise at the graduating ceremony of Deenfield International Academy, during the weekend in Abuja, encouraged them to embrace learning, set goals, get involved and embrace challenges,
Yaro, who congratulated the graduating class said, ,”Today, we celebrate our children’s academic achievements and successes. This graduation and prize-giving day is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that every one of you has shown throughout your academic journey.”
He emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge and education in Islam, citing Surah Al-Alaq and the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings.
He said: “The command to ‘Read’ is not only about literacy but also about seeking knowledge, understanding, and reflecting on the signs of Allah’s creation.”
On the challenges of maintaining one’s Islamic identity and values in a non-Islamic educational environment, Yaro advised: “Seek knowledge from reputable sources, uphold Islamic principles, and stay connected to the Muslim community for support and guidance.”
He also praised the school’s management, led by Hajia Binta Ibrahim, saying: “We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the school management in providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment for our students.”
Speaking with newsmen, the Proprietress of Deenfield International Academy, Binta Ibrahim, who is also the National vice president of National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) expressed overwhelming joy and pride in the accomplishments of her pupils.
She said, “I’m happy and proud of my pupils. In fact, I’m overjoyed,” she said. “We started very small, but today, you can see how far we have come. I’m really, really happy that we have attained this height.”
According to her, the school has been able to integrate Islam smoothly because, in foras, you hardly find that blend.
She said, “With Deenfield, we are grateful to Almighty Allah. We have been able to achieve that, as you can see vividly in what is happening today.
“We are praying by His special grace to be able to bring in the secondary arm because parents are yearning for that. In the future, I would like to see us, not just with the secondary arm, but going into the higher level, such as a university.
The founder noted that integrating students from other schools could be difficult due to their varying backgrounds. However, the academy’s capable staff and focus on instilling principles in students from a young age have helped mitigate these challenges.
On his part, AminuTukur, shared his excitement and pride as his daughter graduated from the primary school session in the class of 2024.
“As parents, we are really excited and very happy to see her progress,” he stated.
Tukur praised the quality of education provided by the academy, describing it as top-notch and believing that it has thoroughly prepared his daughter for the future.
He advised the school to continue maintaining its high standards, which he found to be wonderful. “I have three children in the school, and it is my belief that they will continue to be in the school because of the quality of education they are receiving,” he added.
The best graduating student, Hanifa Tukur expressed joy and pride upon graduating from primary school, she said, “I’m really happy graduating from primary school. I still have a lot ahead of me, but I’m proud of myself and very happy.”
She added that she aspires to become a surgeon in the future. She also encouraged her peers to continue working hard, emphasizing that dedication and determination would make them stand out.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, members of staff, parents, and the graduating students. The graduation ceremony marked a significant achievement for Deenfield International Academy, and the school looks forward to continued growth and success.
