The Kogi State chapter of the Prince Abubakar Audu University Alumni Association has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what it described as exemplary leadership.
The association in a statement on Monday after an extraordinary meeting held on Sunday in Lokoja jointly signed by its Chairman, Mr Jonah Omata, and Secretary, Mr Sylvanus Ufaruna noted that the administration has shown verifiable commitment to the welfare of its members through strategic appointments and inclusion in governance.
“At our extraordinary meeting held on Sunday, the association examined the numerous contributions of the administration and resolved to pass a vote of confidence in the government,” the statement said.
The alumni listed no fewer than 19 of its members currently serving in the Governor Ododo administration, including the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Muizideen Abdullahi (SAN); Commissioner for Transport, Victor Levi Atuluku; Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr Faleke; and Provost, College of Agriculture, Kabba, Prof. Kebiru Ibrahim.
Others are Zak Otokiti and Bobby Ujah, members of the Kogi State House of Assembly; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students and Youth, John Nihi; Permanent Secretary, Office of the SSG, Dr Akoji Ejigbo; Executive Secretary, Kogi State Emergency Management Agency, Mouktar Atimah, among others.
The association expressed optimism that the gesture would be sustained and improved upon, while pledging its support for the administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
It urged the governor to sustain legacies that would place Kogi among leading states in the country.
