UNILORIN Confers Ambassador Award on Kogi SGS

The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade PhD has been conferred with the Ambassador Award by the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.

Mrs. Ayoade was conferred with the Award alongside seventeen others at a colourful ceremony held at the University.

The Secretary to the State Government, who is an Alumni of the University was appointed Secretary to the Statement Government in January 2016, a position she has served meritoriously during the tenure of former Governor Yahaya Bello.

Her outstanding contributions made the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to reappoint her as SGS, making her the longest serving Scribe to Government in the entire Northern Nigeria.

Speaking shortly after receiving the honour, the elated Mrs. Ayoade dedicated the Award to God and former Governor Yahaya Bello for finding her worthy of the appointment during his tenure as Governor.

The SGS also extended her appreciation to the State Chief Servant, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, who gave her more opportunity to contribute to the governance of the State.

Mrs. Ayoade described the Award as a call to service and recognition of her utmost contributions to the development of the State and Nigeria in general.

She reiterated her commitment to be a good Ambassador of the University with more service to God and Humanity, adding that the Award will spur her to do more.

Mrs. Ayoade expressed appreciation to the Management of the Institution for the honour done her, assuring that she will not disappoint them.
