The Provost of Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr Paul Femi Fashagba, has expressed satisfaction with his achievements in office in the last one year, promising to do more.
Fashagba stated this during an appearance on State of Kogi, a Radio Kogi audience participatory programme.
He thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the confidence reposed in him and listed restoration of power supply, water and resuscitation of the institution’s moribund block industry as some of his achievements.
According to him, one of the major challenges he met on assumption of office was the non-printing of certificates, which he said has now been resolved after following due process.
The provost said he assumed office with the intention of adding value to governance in the state, noting that most ongoing infrastructure projects in the college would soon be completed for inauguration by the governor.
He said most programmes of the college have been fully accredited, courtesy of the commitment of the state government.
Fashagba also disclosed the readiness of the college to commence the dual mandate policy of the Federal Government which allows colleges of education to run degree programmes.
Responding to a caller, Bishop from Ibaji, who asked about commencement of the Special Education programme, the provost assured that the programme had been shortlisted for the next accreditation exercise.
He described the performance of Governor Ododo as exemplary and remarkable, and urged the people of the state to support his administration.
