The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has charged the 13-member committee organizing the maiden Governor Ododo All Kogi Campus Games 2026 to ensure the tournament succeeds.
Anyebe gave the charge during a meeting with committee members in his office on Monday, saying Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has committed full support to the initiative.
The All Kogi Campus Games marks the first inter-campus tournament in the state under the present administration.
“Identify areas that will foster sportsmanship, particularly given this is the first edition,” the commissioner told the committee, noting that his office would provide necessary backing to bring the games to fruition.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and Co-Chairman of the games committee, Momoh Stephen Azeez, pledged the committee’s dedication to success.
The Committee Chairman, Micheal Achor Joshua, disclosed that subcommittees have already been constituted to coordinate the tournament.
Joshua thanked Governor Ododo and the commissioner for the appointment, assuring them of the committee’s commitment to delivering a successful inaugural event.
