The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the sale of application documents for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) registration to May 8, 2026.

The extension, according to the Board, is aimed at ensuring that no prospective candidate is denied the opportunity to access tertiary education in the country.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, who noted that the move forms part of broader efforts to expand access to higher education.

Benjamin also revealed that the Board had approved five additional centres for the ongoing Direct Entry registration exercise, particularly to ease pressure in high-demand areas.

The newly approved centres include the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL), Mini Campus of the University of Ilorin in Ilorin, Kwara State; Bells University of Technology, located along Idiroko Road in Ota, Ogun State; and Centre 1 of Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, also in Ogun State.

Others are the Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre at the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo in Oyo, Oyo State, as well as the Human Development Initiatives (Grace House) located in Onike, Lagos, which commenced operations on April 30, 2026.

The JAMB spokesman further reminded prospective candidates that the Board’s offices nationwide, including Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs), remain open for the ongoing registration.

He urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of the extension to complete their applications within the stipulated timeframe.
