Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has advised the family of a former Deputy Governor, Late Chief Patrick Adaba and people of Ebiraland to emulate peace that the former Deputy Governor lived for.
Governor Ododo made the appeal during the burial of the Late Chief Patrick Adaba at Christ the King Catholic Church Okene.
He described the deceased as a symbol of humility who lived a life worthy of emulation.
According to the governor, the wisdom and counsel of the Late Chief Patrick Adaba remains a guiding light for many saying after office his principle has been a guiding light for many.
The Governor said the state is mourning a hero whose foot prints are indelible in the sand of the political and development history of the State.
He noted that although Chief Patrick Adaba has departed the world, his legacies of integrity and services to humanity will continue to speak for generations to come.
“Kogi State mourns a hero whose foot print are indelible in the sand of our political and development history” Ododo said.
The Governor also donated Ten million Naira to Christ The King Catholic Church Okene in honor of late Chief Patrick Adaba.
The Parish priest of Christ The King Catholic Church Okene, Reverend Father Ezekiel John mary admonished the people to always dedicate their lives to the service of the people and urged the people to always pray for people in authority at all times
Earlier the younger brother of the deceased Mr Tony Adaba expressed joy that his elder brother lived a life worthy of emulation.
He appreciated everyone that attended the burial for their time and prayers.
Present at the burial are top government officials of the state, religious leaders and the former governor of Kogi State Captain Idris Wada.
