Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, following the death of his mother, Mama Rametu Sanni Egidi.
The governor, during the visit, expressed deep sympathy and described the late matriarch as a woman of grace and virtue whose legacy of selfless service and strong moral values lives on through her children.
Governor, Ododo during the visit at Adogo in Ajaokuta Local Government Area , urged the People of Ajaokuta to emulate the good legacies that Hajia Rametu Egidi Left behind.
The Governor who was on official trip to China with the House of Representative member when the incident occurred prayed Almighty Allah to forgive Late Hajia Ramatu her shortcomings and grant her Aljanatul Firdaus.
The Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem in a response described his mother as a woman whose strength, grace, and resilience shaped every fiber of who he is today saying she was more than a mother to him and the people of Ajaokuta.
The governor was accompany by party stakeholders and top government officials including the Accountant General of the state Hajia Habitat Tijani and the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Salami Deedat Ozigi.
Mama Rametu Sanni Egidi has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
