Work Commences on Federal Secretariat in Kogi After Gov. Ododo’s Intervention

Work has commenced on the Federal Secretariat in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital after the intervention of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

This followed a call during one of the Editions of State of Kogi, a Radio Kogi Audience Participatory Programme by a resident of Lokoja, Mr. Majebi, calling the attention of Government to the project which was approved by the Federal Government.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Federal Projects Implementation, Chief Emmanuel Obasi during a visit to the site said upon getting the information, he briefed Governor Ododo, who took up the matter two months ago.

According to Chief Obasi, the major Contractor, Mssr. SteadyLanr Nigeria Limited has been mobilised and is currently on site.

He stated that the job had been hampered due the the terrain of the site along Hassan Katsina Road, Lokoja.

The Special Adviser noted that the Contractor and official of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development currently in high spirits to execute the three floor complex.

Chief Obasi commended the Governor for his passion for ensuring value for Federal Projects in the State, adding that he is consolidating the remarkable effort of his Predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
