Clerk and Head of Legislative Service , Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ahmed Sule Chogudo has called on Christians to reflect on the enduring values of sacrifice and love exhibited by the Lord Jesus Christ as they celebrate the Easter.

Chogudo made the call in his 2025 Easter message signed by the Deputy Clerk Admin. and General Service, Aka Adebayo Michael and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Lokoja.

He urged Christians especially in the state to use the Easter period to reflect on the enduring values of sacrificial love exhibited by the Lord, Jesus Christ to redeem the world.

According to the statement, Chogudo said the sacrifice made by Christ on the cross which redeemed the world was worth emulating by humanity, pointing out that the rich should help the poor to exhibit agape love .

The Clerk and Head of Legislative Service of the Assembly assured the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Kogi State chapter, that their welfare would always be one of the topmost priorities of the Assembly.

The Clerk lauded the Federal Government’s initiative in selling a 50kg bag of rice at N40,000 to the civil servants ,adding that the intervention coming as the Easter period approached was quite apt and commendable.

He pointed out that the intervention went a long way to assist the celebrants and also served as mechanism of crashing down the market price of rice .

Chogudo also lauded Governor Usman Ododo’s decision to pay the workers’ salary long before the end of the month of April, saying this was a clear demonstration of the Governor’s desire for civil servants to celebrate Easter with joy.

While wishing the legislative staff and the entire people of Kogi State a joyful Easter celebration, the Clerk called on them to emulate the spirit of patience and resilience in all their endeavours.
