The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Grassroots Mobilisation, Enejoh Sani Simon, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support for the families of late leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
Sani, in a statement on Tuesday in Lokoja, particularly commended the governor for visiting the family of the late APC Divisional Chairman in Dekina Local Government Area and for providing support for the family.
He said the governor approved scholarships for the children of the deceased up to university level and granted automatic employment to the wife of the late chairman in the state civil service.
According to him, the interventions will provide the family with a sense of security and ensure that the children continue their education despite the loss of their father.
He described the gesture as a reflection of Ododo’s compassionate leadership and commitment to recognising the sacrifices of those who contributed to the growth of the party and development of their communities.
Sani also applauded the governor for extending similar gesture to Ijumu Local Government Area, where he visited the family of the late Ijumu APC chairman.
He said the visits showed that the administration values its people and does not forget those who served the party.
The Apecial Adviser also commended the State Auditor-General Alhaji YY Okala for his support and contribution to the welfare initiatives.
He equally thanked the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hajia Rabietu Okute, for her role in ensuring that vulnerable families receive attention.
Sani said the combined efforts of the governor, Okala and Okute demonstrated the administration’s commitment to responsive governance.
He reaffirmed his support for the Ododo administration and urged residents of the state to continue to support the government, noting that its actions had shown compassion and commitment to grassroots development.
