The immediate past Chief Medical Director of the Reference Hospital, Okene, Prof Solomon Avidime, has stressed the need for staff to sustain the spirit of teamwork for the overall development of the hospital.
Prof Avidime made the remark in an address while handing over the affairs of the hospital to the new CMD, Dr Shuaibu Stephen Babatunde.
He pointed out that teamwork among the entire staff made it possible for the hospital to reach its present level of operation.
The former CMD enumerated the achievements recorded during his tenure in office and listed the various areas that need to be given attention, stating that with all hands being on deck and government support the hospital will rise to greater heights.
The new CMD, Dr. Shuaibu Stephen Babatunde, on his part called for sustained, teamwork, commitment to duty, transparency and giving priority to patient care.
He urged all staff to join hands with him in working towards attaining excellence.
Dr. Shuaibu also thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his sustained support that has ensured the growth of the hospital, expressing determination to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The new CMD was subsequently taken on a familiarization tour of the hospital by the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr Kolade Onifade and accompanied by other management staff.
