The Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, Chief Ademola Bello Destiny has presented a budget of over five billion Naira as 2025 budget.
Tagged “Budget of Restoration”, the budget of five billion, forty nine million, nine hundred and thirty one thousand, eight hundred and ninety naira only has Recurrent Expenditures of two billion, five hundred and sixty six million, one hundred and twenty four thousand, eight hundred and sixty Naira (#2,566,124,860.00)
According to the chairman Capital Expenditures stand at two billion, four hundred and eighty three million, right hundred and seven thousand and thirty Naira(#2,483,807,030.00)
He said the budget is coming along with the Local Government autonomy, which by God’s grace will definitely enhanced rapid development to our local government.
He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for delivering the dividend of democracy to the grassroot especially for being the first governor to implement minimum wage to kogi civil servants.
The Chairman said he would emulate the sterling leadership qualities of the governor of kogi state in ensuring that Mopamuro LGA maintain her pride of place by delivering the dividend of democracy to the people.
The council chairman promised to ensure that the budget is implemented to the letter when passed by the legislative arm.
In her remark, the leader of the council, Mrs Olupeka Mercy commended the council boss for his leadership roles, support and cooperation received so far since they assume office.
She assured the chairman and his team for quick passage of the budget.
The Director of Local Government in the area Mrs E B JOB expressed appreciation to the chairman for the timely presentation of the budget proposal to the house.
The Budget presentation which took place at the legislative chamber of Mopamuro LGA attracted dignitaries from all spheres of life.
