Kogi State Community, Exchange, Export Promotion and Market Development Agency is to partner with the Media in actualisation of the aim of establishing the Agency.
Director General of the Agency, Chief Victor Omofaiye while speaking during a visit to the Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation in her office, said the role of the Media in information dissemination cannot be overemphasized.
In a bid to tap into the rich agriculture and natural resources in Kogi State, the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo appointed Chief Victor Omofaiye as the pioneer Director General of the State Community, Exchange, Export Promotion and Market Development Agency.
To galvanize support of relevant stakeholders in achieving set goals, the Director General was at the State Broadcasting House to seek partnership with the Radio Station.
The KOSCEPA Boss noted that the synergy with the Radio Station will enhance increased awareness about commodity market and export opportunities.
According to him, the New Agency is ready to do everything humanly possible to achieve the aspirations of Governor Ododo in using the resources of the State for wealth creation.
He used the occasion to congratulate the Director General of the State Broadcasting Corporation on her appointment, saying she started well in piloting the affairs of the Broadcasting Corporation by introducing innovations.
Responding, the Radio Kogi Director General, Princess Nana Hauwa Yussuf described the appointment of Chief Omofaiye as a step in the right direction and timely, coming at the time that agricultural and natural resources of the State are in need greater attention.
Princess Nana expressed optimism in the capacity of Chief Omofaiye in achieving the mandate of his new Office based on his track record as a seasoned Lawmaker and Administrator.
She assured that the Station will support the Agency to succeed especially in the area of Sensitisation and awareness creation.
KOSCEPA DG alongside his management Staff also visited the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ where the Chairman of the NuJ described his appointment as timely and a step in the right direction.
