Officers to run the affairs of the Kogi State Chapter of Parliamentary Association of Nigeria have emerged.
The election which was keenly contested saw Mr. Ayo Omotola as Chairman who pulled 71 votes against his closest contender, Mall. Idris Yusuf who had 43 votes.
Mallam Alikali Yunusa clinched the position of Welfare Secretary with 71
votes while Haruna Idris scored 39 votes.
The Secretary and other positions of the union were unopposed with hope to inaugurate the new officials upon the expiration of the incumbent executives on the 28th day of November,2024.
Other members of the executive who were unopposed are : Vice Chairman: Mamoud Ojonugwa Brown, Secretary: Joshua David, Assistant Secretary:Ayuba Ireyi, Treasurer: Idowu Aliyu, PRO: Gimba Alhaji , Women Leader: Raji Barikisu, Auditor: Ojo Deborah, Financial Secretary; Abdulmumini Yusuf, Social Secretary: Onotu Egidi while the position of the Legal officer remains to be filled.
