Corps members deployed to kogi state have been assured of Government’s readiness for their safety.
The state Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo gave the assurance during the Swearing in ceremony of the Twenty Twenty Four Batch A Stream One Corps members deployed to the state at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Asaya Kabba.
Governor Ododo who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Monday A Anyebe said security of Corps members in the state is on the top burner of the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo saying he will leave no stone unturned in that regard in the state.
The Governor said the orientation course was deliberately designed for the Corps members to enable them equip with the requisite knowledge and skills to face the task ahead of them.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo charged the Corps members to put the Nation first in all they do saying they should think first about Nigeria before anything else towards the development of the state and county at large.
According to the Governor a lot is expected from them through their service to the society and advised them to eschew all forms of negative act such as cultism and other vices that can disrupt their Future.
He advised them to take every segment of the orientation Camp seriously by ensuring that they serve their fatherland with sincerity, loyalty integrity and accountability.
The Governor called on the security agencies in the state to beef up security in and around the Camp as directed by their various commanding officers during and after the orientation exercise.
The Governor commended the state NYSC Coordinator, her management staff and other collaborative agencies for their commitment to guiding the Corps members for success.
The kogi state Coordinator of the NYSC Pastor Mrs. M.A. Williams appealed to the state Government to help them by fencing the Permanent Orientation Camp for the safety of the Corps members.
She also called on the state Government to expand the orientation Camp Clinic to standard to enable them meet the health challenge’s of the Corps members during orientation Camps.
