The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ododo, extends heartfelt greetings to all Christian faithful across Kogi State and beyond, as they commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In her Easter message, the First Lady called on Christians to reflect on the profound love, sacrifice, and humility demonstrated by Jesus Christ on the cross for the redemption of humanity.
“This season is a time to remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for the world. His death and resurrection remind us of the power of love, the beauty of humility, and the strength in unity. As we celebrate Easter, I urge all Christians in Kogi State to let the spirit of Christ guide their actions, foster peace in their communities, and extend kindness to one another,” she said.
Mrs Ododo also urged women and children in the state to draw inspiration from the humility of Jesus, promoting unity and compassion within their homes and communities.
“As nurturers and builders of our homes and society, women and children play a vital role in shaping a peaceful future. Let us emulate Christ’s humility by choosing empathy over division and unity over conflict,” she added.
The First Lady reiterated her commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, inclusion, and the well-being of women and children across the state.
“Easter is not just a season of celebration, but a time of deep reflection and renewal. Let us walk in love, live in unity, and serve one another in humility.”
She wished all Christians a blessed, peaceful, and joyful Easter celebration.
