Kogi State Government says plans are underway to ensure 20 hours of broadcasting by the State Broadcasting Corporation
The State commissioner for Information and Communication, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo made this known in an interview with our reporter.
The commissioner who was speaking on the recent procurement of two operational vehicles for the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, said the move was to ensure efficient service delivery by the corporation.
He explained that the operational vehicles underscore the importance the present administration attached to Radio as veritable tool for grassroots mobilization.
Evangelist Fanwo charged management and staff of the corporation to complement government effort through efficient dissemination of information to the people of the state.
The commissioner noted that his ministry has be mandated to work closely with that of Rural and Energy Development to provide stable power supply for the corporation to enable it operate for longer hours.
Director General of the corporation, Alhaji Ojo-Oyila Ozovehe while responding assured that the operational vehicles will be used to further the activities of the corporation as intended.
He commended the present administration for giving priority attention to the corporation and promised that the State Radio will not disappoint in its mandate to provide adequate information to the people.
