Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka has urged support groups to sustain their support for the present administration and remain focused.
Comrade Edoka made the appeal in his office while receiving the team Bolanle support group led by Comrade Mohammed Nuhu Tanimu in Lokoja.
He said the appeal became necessary considering the importance of such support to any government, stressing that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was not an exception.
The Special Adviser noted that any genuine efforts must be rewarded, assuring that the Governor was aware of the enormous support of the people and would act well by ensuring good governance.
Comrade Edoka expressed appreciation to the founder of the team, Mrs Bolanle who was a former Commissioner in Kogi State, and thanked the team to recognizing his contributions so far.
“Let me specially thank you all for this visit, I am confident in the calibre of persons in this group having seen its composition and the work done so far. Let me assure you that the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will not fail to reward those who worked for him, either directly or indirectly, and so, from his development programmes, it is clear that everyone will be carried along”, Edoka stated.
Earlier, the leader of the team, Comrade Mohammed Nuhu Tanimu said they were in the office to familiarize with the Special Adviser on Labour matters and seek advise considering his wealth of experience.
Comrade Tanimu noted that the team had played significant roles in politics, and commended the Governor for providing purposeful leadership since assumption of office.
The team leader assured that they will continue to contribute positively towards adding value to governance and urged government to recognize the group in its reward mechanism.
