Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the appointment of Prof. Solomon Avidime as the Provost College of Medicine, Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.
This is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade and obtained by Radio Kogi Network News on Saturday.
Until his appointment, Prof. Avidime was the pioneer Chief Medical Director, Reference Hospital Okene.
As a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Professor Solomon Avidime is a renowned Nigerian academic and medical professional.
Professor Avidime has made significant contributions to the field of medicine, particularly in the areas of reproductive health, maternal and child health, and infertility.
Meanwhile, the Governor also appointed Dr. Shuaibu Stephen Babatunde as the new Chief Medical Director of the Reference Hospital Okene.
The statement added that while Governor Ododo congratulated the Appointees on their respective new assignments, the appointments are with immediate effect.
