Gov. Ododo Has Changed Narratives Of Local Govt Administration to that of Improved welfare, Service Delivery-NULGE President

The President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Kogi State Chapter says Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo  has changed the narratives of Local Government Administration in the State to that of service delivery for Local Government Workers across the State.

This is as the Chairman, Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Adams Adabenege described the present NULGE leadership of the State as responsive to the yearning and aspirations of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Comrade Mohammed Sanusi, made the disclosure when he paid a visit to the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Adams Adabenege, to present the award NULGE won as the most mobilized affiliate Union of the Nigerian Labour Congress at the just concluded May Day Rally held in Lokoja.

Comrade Sanusi dedicated the award to the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission and Workers across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

According to the NULGE President, Local Government Administration is not what it used to be in the State under the administration of Governor Ododo and praised the LGSC Chairman for the decentralization of promotion owing to insecurity and finance burden on the workers.

The President explained that no promotion is hanging for Local Government workers in the State and expressed optimism that very soon promotion letters will be released to the workers across the State.

Comrade Sanusi observed that carrying out administrative transactions at the LGSC is now done without tears, pointing out that the commission has become workers friendly in the discharged of it duties to Council workers.

The NULGE President thanked the LGSC Chairman, Alhaji
Adams Adabenege for his innovation at the Commission and also thanked the permanent secretary and commissioners for working for the seamless running of Local Government Administration under the administration of Governor Ododo.

The NULGE President promised the administration of Gov Ododo and the Local Government Service Commission that the workers of the Local Government Areas of the State will not disappoint the present administration and the Commission now and in the coming years.

The LGSC chairman, Alhaji Adams Adabenege   thanked NULGE for making the 2025 workers day rally very colourful, tasked them to sustain the feat of remaining supportive and loyal to the present administration.

The LGSC Chairman charged the NULGE in the State to continue to think of positive ideas that would continue to support the present administration, pointing out that the administration of Gov Ododo has placed focus on Local Government Administration.

He said Governor Ododo is not going to toy with the welfare of the Local Government workers, pointing out that for whom much is given, so much is expected.

He praised the present administration of NULGE for making impacts in all the Local Government Areas of the State, pointing out that the cornerstone of the present administration will continue to remain the Local Government workers.

The LGSC Chairman described the successes thus far recorded by Gov. Ododo is a product of his experience, working with the Local Government, assured that in no distant time, the Commission will release the promotion letters to workers at the Local Government Areas.

The LGSC Chairman tasked NULGE to strive for peace in the various local Government Areas of the State, pointing out that with the support enjoyed by the Local Government workers, assured Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo of the support of Local Government workers come 2027.

In his remarks, Elder Sunday Odeh, Permanent Secretary, LGSC, described the synergy existing between NULGE, the Commission and the State Government as unprecedented in the annals of the State history.

Similarly, Elisha Peter Folorunsho, Commissioner in charge of Establishment, Administration and Publication, lauded the support of NULGE in the State to the administration of Governor Ododo and urged them to sustain the feat in the coming years, assuring that the present administration is irrevocably committed to improving on their welfare.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of the award plaque to the Chairman Local Government Service Commission by the NULGE President.
