The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm felicitations to Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, urged Muslims to pray for peace and unity in the country.
“Eid-el-Fitr, a significant event in the Islamic calendar, is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the end of the month-long dawn-to-dusk fast of Ramadan,” the statement read.
The party commended Muslim faithful for their devotion to Almighty Allah, demonstrated through fervent prayers, sacrifice, charity, and commitment to the peace and unity of Nigeria throughout the holy month.
“As we celebrate, we encourage our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue exemplifying the virtues of Ramadan—sustaining their supplications, sacrifice, generosity, and tolerance, as espoused by the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” the APC stated.
The party also urged Nigerians to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to pray for the nation’s leaders and rededicate themselves to the collective task of achieving sustainable peace, progress, and development.
