Kogi State Agricultural Development Project (ADP) has began the sale of Improve High Quality Seedlings to farmers at affordable prices for maximum food production.
The Managing Director Agricultural Development Project, Prince Bello George Ogirima made the remark while speaking with our reporter in Lokoja.
Prince George explained that the government was ready to support people of the state interested in farming in view of the economic hardship and food shortages in the country.
The Managing Director disclosed that those consumables items were available at the ADP Headquarters for less cost which include , Tomatoes , pepper, Cucumber, Maize, Onion among others as well as Improve High Quality seedlings.
Prince George noted with satisfaction that the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has put in place necessary machinery to ensure availability of food in the state.
The practical demonstration of it the MD said is the flag-off the Kogi State Agricultural Intervention programme held in Geregu Ajaokuta local government area recently by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Prince George maintained that the government has passionately collaborates with the Emperior Company to deliver a good agro- chemicals and seedlings through its Agric Services to meet the yearning and expectation of farmers across the state.
He urged farmers to contact the Department of Agricultural Services of ADP to purchase the seeds.
