Peace Corps Establishment Bill Passes Through First Reading At Senate

The Nigeria Peace Corps establishment Bill earlier passed by the House of Representatives in February this year has been transmitted to Senate and passed through first reading.

The bill, when passed by the Senate, would be transmitted to the President for assent in accordance with the law.

In line with this development, Kogi State Commandant of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Ahiaba Abel has urged all officers and men to ensure they are up to date in all exercises and update their status.

The Peace Corps of Nigeria was established twenty five years ago by the National Commandant, Doctor Dickson Akor with the aim of ensuring socio economic empowerment of Nigerian youths as well as all round peace and development.
