Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe says sporting activities in the rural areas in the state will be given more attention.
Hon Monday A Anyebe stated this during a solidarity football March organized in his honour and the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo by Ogene Iga Community the home town of the Commissioner during Easter celebration.
Hon Monday A Anyebe said the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a Government of the people saying the present administration has total passion for the development of Youth and the welfare of the citizenships in the state.
The Commissioner said the present administration will be committed to the enhancement of the youth programmes especially the talented who are interested in learning skill and improving their livelihood.
He said the state government will given full support in the area of sports Development through exposure to the Sporting activities.
Hon Monday A Anyebe called on the people of the community and entire Olamaboro Local Government Area to continue to support the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the progress and development of the area and the state in general.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation to the people of Ogene Iga Community especially the Youths for organizing the event in honour of him and the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and assured of government readiness to partner with them towards ensuring the development of sporting activities in the area and called on them not to relent in their efforts.
Speaking,on behalf of people, the community Leader of Ogene Iga Community Hon Sylvester Anyebe said the programme was organized to honour the commissioner Hon Monday A Anyebe for his support to the community so far for the few month in office.
Hon. Sylvester Anyebe said the commissioner has done well and the people of the community are happy with him and the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Community Leader appealed to the people of the community and the people of Olamaboro Local Government Area to continue in their support to the present administration and restated their support and loyalty to the commissioner at all times.
Also the youth of Agbaduma community in Olamaboro Local Government Area received the commissioner on a thank you visit and described the efforts of the commissioner so far in the area of Youth empowerment as impressive.
Present at the event is the transition chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area Hon Ameh Williams who is from Agbaduma community.
The Commissioner during the Easter celebration also visited some traditional rulers in the Local Government. They include Ojibo Iga of Iga, chief Matthew Ekele, among others.
