Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has assented to the Twenty twenty Four appropriation bill of 258 billion naira into law.

Governor Bello assented to the Law at the Executive Chambers of Government House Lokoja.

Governor Bello appreciated the speedy passage of the appropriation bill by the Assembly noting that it is a budget that will not be difficult to implement by the incoming administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ahmed Ododo for the benefit of the people.

He expressed confident in the ability of the next administration to build on the good legacies he would be leaving behind.

The Governor thanked president Ahmed Tinubu and the people of the state for their support and encouragement over the years in delivering the dividends of democracy.

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Yusuf Umar explained that the Assembly gave due consideration to the budget and met with line MDAs to ensure diligence.

He appreciated the governor for providing the enabling environment for the members to operate in the state House of Assembly and promised to give their unalloyed support to the next administration to succeed.

The Speaker said three bills have been passed into law which include a bill to amend and reenact Local Government Law, the Oil Producing Community Bill and a Bill to amend College of Nursing and Science Obangede was signed into law.

Governor Yahaya Bello on the eleventh of this month presented to the Kogi State House Assembly his last budget tagged Budget of Consolidation and Continuity for inclusive growth .

The Signing at the Executive Chambers of the Government House Lokoja, was witnessed by top Government officials, Legislators and officials of the Assembly Service Commission.
