Okene APC Chairman Congratulates Ododo on Victory at the poll

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress for Okene Local Government Area, Hon. Yakubu Gowon has felicitated with the Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his victory in the last Saturday Governorship election.

Hon Yakubu Gowon also congratulated the Governor-Elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on the presentation of certificate of return to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission )INEC).

A statement signed by the APC Chairman for Okene Local Government, Hon Yakubu Gowon described the victory of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as an attestation of the resilience of the people of the state to sustain the legacies of Governor Yahaya Bello.

He said the victory also shows that the APC is on ground in the state and reassured the Governor-elect of the continued support of the APC in Okene for his success.

Hon. Yakubu, who is also the Chairman of the Forum of the APC in the Central Senatorial District assured that the Forum will continue to give the Governor-Elect the needed support to enable him succeed.

He prayed God to grant the Governor-elect and his deputy, Joel Oyibo good health, strength and wisdom to pilot the state.

While describing Governor Yahaya Bello as the father of modern politics in Kogi State, the APC Chairman said the Governor has demonstrated enormous zeal for a greater Kogi State in the last Governorship election.

The APC chairman also praised all Chairmen of the party in the Central Senatorial District for their hard work which ensured the victory of the Governor-elect.

Hon. Yakubu also seized the opportunity to appreciate Ebira nation both home and in diaspora that mobilized Ebira people from various states down home to cast their votes for ODODO/JOEL.
