Kogi Guber Poll: Gov. Bello Praises INEC For Impressive Performance

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has expressed satisfaction with the Independent National Electoral Commission over the conduct of the governorship election in the state.

The Governor made this known while briefing news men shortly after casting his vote along side his wives at Agasa ward one Polling Unit in Okene Local Government Area.

Governor Bello who arrived the polling unit around half past eight was received by the INEC officials as he and his wives were accredited before they finally cast their votes.

Speaking with newsmen, Governor Bello commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the orderly manner they conducted the election.

He expressed optimism that the peace witnessed in Kogi central will be replicated in other areas of the state.

The Governor commended the security agents for conducting the election professionally for a peaceful poll.

Governor Bello appealed to the media not to post election results before the announcement by the INEC and reiterated his determination to leave the state better than he met it.

Earlier, the presiding officer, Suleiman Abdurazak, reassured the people that INEC is committed to ensure a free and fair election.
