Ensure Victory For APC in Nov. Guber Election- Kogi Speaker Tells Delegation From Okoro of Girinya Community

Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf has received a delegation from the Okoro of Girinya who paid a solidarity visit to the member representing Kogi (Kotonkarfe) State Constituency, Idrees Aliyu in Lokoja.

In his address to the delegation, the Speaker urged them to maintain their support for the current administration and ensure victory for the APC in next month’s gubernatorial election.

He said the current Assembly is ready to work closely with the executive arm to ensure the problems they itemized, including the issue of repair and upgrade of their LGEA school, primary healthcare facility and other amenities were addressed.

The Speaker noted that one of their sons and member representing Kogi (Kotonkarfe) State Constituency in the Assembly, Aliyu Idrees Maikudi is working assiduously to ensure socio-economic development for the area and urged them to maintain their support for him by replicating the massive votes they gave the ruling party in the forthcoming election.

Yusuf promised that the Assembly would not betray their trust and appealed to them to mobilise more people to vote the APC to ensure victory for Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.

The members representing Lokoja I and Kogi/Kotonkarfe State Constituencies, Bin-Ebaiya Tijjani and Idris Aliyu Maikudi added their voices to the Speaker’s position and appealed for continued support for the ruling APC.

In their responses, the visitors thanked the present administration for its laudable projects in the area, and appealed for support in the area of their school, clinic and others to make life meaningful for their people.

They expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for upgrading his stool to First Class Status, noting that the traditional institution in the area has resolved to ensure continued support for the APC government.
