Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has called on the people of the state to come out enmasse on November eleven to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo
Governor Bello made the call during a Zonal campaign rally at his home town, Agasa in Okene Local Government Area.
Governor Yahaya Bello, who was happy with the turn out of the people expressed joy and urged them to sustain the tempo to pave way for a landslide victory in the governorship election next month.
He assured that there will be no violence before during and after the election as arrangements have been made for a secured and peaceful election.
The Governor stated that there was no room for opposition in the coming election as the APC will win in his senatorial district.
He called on the people to be united under the leadership of President Tinubu for more gains of democracy in the state.
Director-General, Kogi APC Governorship Campaign Council, Prince Shaibu Abubakar Audu, said the only agenda for the APC was the Kogi Agenda, adding that the party’s candidate will consolidate on the legacies of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Prince Shaibu noted that APC will provide massive jobs for the teeming youths through agricultural revolution and urged them to support APC, saying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed him as Minister of Steel Development to ensure the speedy completion of the Ajaokuta Steel Company and massive job creation in the state.
Addressing the crowd, the APC Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who congratulated the President and his Vice on their victory at the Supreme Court, said his aspiration was about the people, progress and unity of the State.
While thanking Governor Bello for his outstanding achievements, Ododo promised to build on his legacies and appealed to the people of Kogi Central to give their vote to the APC for a stronger and united Kogi State.
In his remark, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku described the crowd as an attestation that the Governor has done well and was well accepted in his home town.
He said the turn out was a confirmation that APC will win with wide margin in the November election.
Also speaking, the Chairman of APC in Kogi State, Abdullahi Bello, expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout and enthusiasm displayed by the people of Kogi Central.
Abdullahi urged them to sustain the tempo for a landslide victory for the APC in the governorship election.
The Director General Ododo campaign council for Central Alhaji Hadi Ametuo said the people of the Central are for Kogi Agenda for progress, development and continuity.
He pledge the total support of the people of Kogi Central for a resounding victory at the polls.
Highlights of the rally was the official welcoming of defectors from the various political parties.
Present at the Zonal rally were party stakeholders political appointees APC members, Director General Government House Administration Alhaji Shuaibu Oricha and a son of a former Governor of the state, Alhaji Abubarkar Ibrahim Idris
