The Chairman of Bassa Local Government Area of KogiState, Theophilus Adama, has dissolved his cabinet ahead of his inauguration for a second term in office.
Adama, who is also the chairman-elect of the LGA, announced the dissolution at the council secretariat after the successful completion of his first tenure.
Adama commended the Bassa Legislative Arm for its harmonious working relationship with the executive which, he said, contributed to the successes recorded in his first term.
He also lauded his supervisory councillors, special advisers and senior special assistants for their commitment to uniting the area and delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
The chairman appreciated civil servants, traditional rulers, youths and residents of the LGA for standing by his administration, particularly in sustaining peace in Bassa land.
“I am most grateful to God for the privilege given to us to work collectively for the growth of Bassa Local Government Area. As I dissolve you today, I wish you success in your future endeavours,” Adama said.
With the announcement, all political appointees have been relieved of their duties.
The dissolution was contained in a statement signed by his former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Denwi Joshua Adunga.
