Thousands of youths from across the Okun-speaking communities of Kogi State, under the auspices of the Okun Youth Stakeholders Forum, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for re-election in 2027, promising massive votes for both leaders.
The endorsement rally, held at Igbo Hall in Kabba, headquarters of Okun Nation in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, witnessed an impressive turnout of youths, youth leaders and stakeholders from the five local government areas that make up the Okun-speaking part of the state.
The event commenced with a colourful procession through major streets of Kabba, as thousands of enthusiastic youths marched in solidarity, singing “On Your Mandate We Shall Stand” and expressing their support for the two leaders ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The procession later moved en masse to Igbo Hall, where youth leaders and representatives from different local government areas took turns to commend President Tinubu and Governor Ododo for their respective performances in office.
The speakers described the achievements of the two administrations as sufficient grounds to justify another term, expressing confidence that their policies, programmes and commitment to development deserved the continued support of Nigerians and the people of Kogi State.
They particularly urged Okun youths to remain politically conscious, united and actively involved in the democratic process, stressing that the 2027 elections would provide an opportunity to consolidate the gains of the current administrations and sustain ongoing development efforts.
The forum maintained that its endorsement was informed by its assessment of the leadership and performance of President Tinubu at the federal level and Governor Ododo in Kogi State, noting that continuity in leadership would provide an opportunity for both administrations to deepen their impact.
The youth leaders also called for sustained collaboration between the government and young people, emphasising the need for greater youth inclusion in governance, employment opportunities, skills development, education and other programmes that would improve the welfare of young people across the Okun communities.

They further pledged to mobilise grassroots support for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, promising to take the message of continuity to communities, wards and polling units across the Okun-speaking area ahead of the 2027 elections.
The rally underscored the growing determination of sections of the Okun youth constituency to participate actively in shaping the political future of Kogi State and Nigeria, with the organisers expressing optimism that the endorsement would translate into strong electoral support for the two leaders.
The event ended with renewed calls for unity, political participation and sustained support for the Tinubu and Ododo administrations as the country gradually moves towards the 2027 general elections.
