Kogi West APC Leaders Take Unity, Peace, Progress Gospel to Yagba West LG

A Group known as Kogi West All Progressives Congress (APC) Leaders Forum has appealed to the People of Yagba West Local Government Area to sustain unity, peace and progress.

Chairman of the Forum, Commander Jerry Omodara rtd made the appeal when he led members to the Palace of Elegbe of Egbe as part of the ongoing consultation for the re-election bid of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Commander Omodara, currently the District does not need distraction and division but Unity of purpose, Peace and progress.

He stated that both Governor Ododo and President Tinubu have extended compassion to the people of Kogi West with appointments in projects that have been impacting positively.

The Forum Chairman maintained that while the Governor has been implementing the programmes and policies of the Tinubu led administration, it is crucial for the people of Kogi West to support him to return to Lugard.

He stressed the need to allow Kogi Central to complete their 16 years as Governor before power will shift to the West for 4 tenures.

He solicited the support of the Yagba West Traditional Council in educating their subjects on the need to be patient till the end of the second tenure of Governor Ododo.

He used the opportunity to appeal to the Royal fathers to pray for all Okun sons and daughters to succeed.

In his remarks, a Chieftain of the party in the District, Hon. Funsho Olumoko insisted that Okun land and Kogi West alone cannot produce Governor alone, except with alliance with the Central who can be trusted.

Speaking on behalf of the Traditional Council, the Olu of Oke Eri, Oba Julius Falope said the people of the Local Government have been supporting Government and will continue to do that.

On his part, the Baale of Egbe, Oba Abiodun Agbana applauded the efforts of the Government on Security, saying the condition has improved.

Oba Agbana told the Delegation not to be afraid of criticism especially on the Social Media, saying their consolation is a step in the right direction.
