You’re Doing Well, Keep It Up, Veteran Journalists, Broadcasters To Radio Kogi DG

Veteran Journalists and Broadcasters in Kogi State have enjoined the Director General of the State Broadcasting Corporation, Princess Nana Hauwa Yussuf to sustain quality broadcast in the Radio Station.

They stated this during an unscheduled visit to the Radio Kogi Director General on Friday.

Speaking on behalf of the Group, a Seasoned Veteran Broadcaster, Chief Modupe Olaitan said the visit was to declare their support and solidarity to Princess Nana Hauwa, the first female Director General of the Corporation.

Chief Modupe expressed satisfaction with the performance of Princess Nana Hauwa, assuring of their readiness to provide needed support where and when necessary.

She noted that the Group which comprises retired Broadcasters and Journalists in Kogi State came together on Social Media and decided to support her laudable initiatives.

On his part, a former Director General of the Corporation, Reverend Ogala Sani said Princess Nana Hauwa has been doing the right thing to restore the lost glory of the Radio Station, hence the visit.

Also speaking, a former Director Programmes Department, Pastor Halimat Salihu popularly known as Big Mama commended the commitment of the Director General to her duty, saying the Group is proud of her modest contributions to broadcasting.

Responding, the Radio Kogi Director General, described the visit as timely, coming ahead of the planned 35th Anniversary of the Radio Station.

Princess Nana Hauwa expressed appreciation to the Veteran Journalists and Broadcasters for their sacrifices to the Radio Station.

She explained that her administration has improved the condition of the Station from four hours to nearly fourteen hours daily.

Others at the visit are; Mr. Bartholomew Ademu, Stephen Onoja and Goke Oshagbemi.
