Today in my community Aiyegunle Gbede, I joined the Honourable Councillor for our ward, Hon. Julius Alegbejo, at the Empowerment & Fundraising programme he organised, featuring empowerment for widows, traders, distribution of writing materials to students, and fundraising for the building of 40 market stores.
I commend the Honourable Councillor for this beautiful work and encourage him to continue to do more for our people. This is indeed bringing governance closer to the people at the grassroots.
True leadership is measured by impact, and I firmly believe that collective responsibility is key to building stronger, more resilient communities.
In line with this commitment, I made a donation of ₦500,000 to support the success of this laudable initiative. Initiatives like this speak directly to the heart of grassroots development, supporting widows, empowering traders, investing in students, and building sustainable economic opportunities through community-driven projects.
