SECOND ANNIVERSARY: FGN/IFAD KOGI VCDP MANAGEMENT AND STAFF FELICITATE GOV. AHMED USMAN ODODO AND DEPUTY GOV. JOEL SALIFU OYIBO

Spread the love

The Management and Staff of the Kogi State IFAD-assisted Value Chain Development Programme (FGN/IFAD KOGI VCDP) heartily congratulate His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, and his Deputy, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, on the successful completion of their second year in office.

The past two years have been marked by purposeful leadership, people-oriented governance, and a clear commitment to inclusive development, particularly in the critical sectors of agriculture, food security, youth empowerment, and rural transformation.

Under the leadership of Governor Ododo, Kogi State has continued to prioritise policies that place the welfare of farmers, women, youths, and rural communities at the centre of governance—a vision that aligns seamlessly with the objectives of the FGN/IFAD Kogi VCDP–assisted programmes.

The administration’s strong political will, pragmatic support for agribusiness development, and emphasis on value chain–driven agriculture have created an enabling environment for IFAD interventions to thrive across beneficiary communities.

The Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, has also distinguished himself as a dependable partner in governance, providing consistent support to programmes that empower grassroots communities and strengthen livelihoods.

We proudly acknowledge the administration’s commitment to sustainable agriculture, climate-resilient farming practices, rural infrastructure development, and inclusive economic participation. These efforts have translated into improved productivity, enhanced incomes for smallholder farmers, and renewed confidence in agriculture as a viable pathway to prosperity for the people of Kogi State.

As Your Excellencies mark this milestone, we reaffirm the unwavering commitment of the FGN/IFAD Kogi VCDP to deepening collaboration with the state government, consolidating existing gains, and scaling up impactful interventions that will further advance food sufficiency, wealth creation, and rural development.

We pray that the Almighty God grants you continued wisdom, strength, and good health to lead Kogi State to greater heights of peace, progress, and shared prosperity.

Congratulations once again on your Second Anniversary in Office!

Signed:
Dr. Stella O. Adejoh
