The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has used the occasion of the 63rd birthday of the Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, to highlight his pivotal role in fostering unity among the Armed Forces and advancing reforms that have boosted Nigeria’s defence architecture.
In a felicitation message, General Musa praised the Minister as a visionary leader whose humility and patriotism have translated into practical gains in national security. He noted that under Badaru’s watch, synergy among the Services has improved, operational effectiveness has deepened, and morale of personnel across various theatres of operation has been lifted.
According to him, Badaru’s steady support and wise counsel have encouraged the military at a time when the nation faces complex security challenges, adding that his leadership has been a source of inspiration to both the Armed Forces and the nation at large.
While joining family, colleagues, and Nigerians in celebrating the Minister’s 63rd birthday, the CDS prayed for continued sound health and divine wisdom for him, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ resolve to sustain ongoing reforms and uphold their constitutional responsibilities.
The Defence Headquarters emphasised that political leadership and military cooperation remain critical to consolidating security gains and ensuring lasting peace in the country.
