Minister Of Steel Development,Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Distributes Thousands Of Fertilizers To Kogi Farmers

Farmers in Kogi State have been urged to make good use of the fertilizers given to them to ensure food sufficiency.

Minister of Steel Development, Alhaji shuaibu Abubakar Audu gave the charge in a message to the flag of the distribution of ten thousand bags of Fertilizers to peasant farmers across the twenty one Local Government Area of the state in Lokoja.

The minister who was represented by a former Director General Protocol in the state, Mr Emmanuel Ekele said the gesture was to compliment the effort of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in boosting Agriculture for food sufficiency in the country.

He noted that the minister through his foundation Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation has been reaching out to the people of the state with palliatives to ameliorate the suffering of the poor in the society and promised to continue inline with the Renewed Hop Agenda of the President.

In a remark, the chairman Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, Prince Ogacheko Daniel Idoko said the ten thousand bags of Fertilizers will be distributed to the twenty one Local Government Areas of the state through coordinators and urged beneficiaries to ensure that it gets to the peasant farmers who are the target.

He said the Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation is committed to the welfare of the people of the state and will always compliment the effort of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in boosting Agriculture in the state.

Speaking on behalf of of beneficiaries, Mallam Musa Habib from the Central Senatorial District thanked the foundation for the gesture and promised to use the fertilizer for the purpose intended.

High light of the flag off was the distribution of the fertilizer to selected representative from the three senatorial districts of the state.
