The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has expressed profound sympathy and concern over the recent devastating fire incident at the popular Farm Centre GSM Market in Kano State.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described the fire outbreak as a significant loss to traders, entrepreneurs, and the broader economic community in Kano and Nigeria. He lamented that the destruction of goods, investments, and livelihoods at the market — a key hub of commerce and youth-driven enterprise — has left many residents devastated.

Ganduje called on relevant emergency agencies, both at the federal and state levels, to expedite efforts in determining the cause of the fire and to provide immediate relief to those affected. He also appealed to philanthropists, corporate organizations, and well-meaning individuals to extend support to the victims, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in times of hardship.

The APC leader commended the quick response of emergency responders, including the Kano State Fire Service, security agencies, and volunteer groups, whose prompt actions helped contain the fire and prevent further damage.

Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of Kano residents, Ganduje assured that he would engage stakeholders to explore support mechanisms aimed at assisting the affected traders in their recovery and rehabilitation.

Ganduje prayed for strength and swift recovery for the victims, invoking Allah’s blessings for their resilience in overcoming this tragedy.
