Muslims in Kogi State have been advised to imbibe the virtues of love and sacrifice as taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Chief Medical Director/CEO of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Teaching Hospital, Okene, Dr. Shaibu Stephen Babatunde gave the advice in his Sallah message to the people.
Dr. Shaibu said the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son was borne out of his love, obedience, and total submission to Allah, urging Muslims to emulate his lifestyle.
He emphasized the need to give to the poor, needy and vulnerable around them in the spirit of brotherhood with a view to bringing happiness, relief and comfort to them and in obedience to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
The CMD, while felicitating with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, members of the State Executive Council, and the entire Muslims in Kogi State, urged them to exhibit selflessness and show love and care to their neighbors.
Dr. Shaibu also noted the support and efforts of the present administration to the smooth running of the Teaching Hospital which has resulted in better service delivery for the overall well being of the people.
He particularly pointed out the recent employment of Doctors and Consultants to boost healthcare delivery and the ongoing construction of Doctors’ quarters and medical students’ hostels in preparation for the Accreditation Exercise of the Teaching Hospital.
“On behalf of the management and staff of the CUSTECH Teaching Hospital, Okene, I wish His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and all Muslims in Kogi State a happy sallah celebration. May God continue to endow the Governor with wisdom and good health, to pilot the affairs of the state to enviable height. “
