Gov Ododo Urges Muslims To Imbibe The Spirit Of Oneness, Sacrifice And Peace

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has called on Muslims to Imbibe the Spirit Of Oneness, Sacrifice And Peace as they celebrate Eid-el Kabir festival.

Speaking with journalist after the two rakat prayer, Governor Ahmed Ododo emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time for deep reflection, sacrifice, obedience to Allah, and compassion toward one another.

He urged the people to reflect on the virtue of Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice calling for renewed faith, love, obedience, and patience.

“My message to the people of Kogi State and Nigeria during this period is for us to imbibe the spirit of oneness , sacrifice, peace, compassion and love for one another, He said.

According to the governor, this period is a strong reminder for commitment to total submission to God Almighty.

The Governor reiterated his administrations commitment to transformative development, assuring that his administration will not relent in implementing policies and programs to better the lives of the people.

On the security situation of the state, the Governor reassured the people that his administration is not relaxing on its oars in flushing criminals out of the state saying Kogi State borders about ten state hence the need for its security architecture to be strong.

Governor Ododo extended heartfelt felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praying for strength, wisdom, and divine guidance as he pilots the affairs of the nation.

He called on Nigerians to believe in the economic reform of the president as it is yeilding positive results.

Earlier the Imam of Ebira Land Sheikh Muhammad Salihu Abere admonish leaders and followers to imbibe the lessons of the festival of sacrifice in their daily conduct.

Former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, some political office holders, top government functionaries, and the Ohinoyi Of Ebira Land Alhaji Tijani Anaje joined the state governor at the prayer ground in Okene.
