Be More Vigilant, Now That We Are In The Rainy Season – Hon Ademola Bello Destiny Directs Security Agents In Mopamuro LGA

The Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, Mr Ademola Bello Destiny has been commended for giving security top priority in the area.

The Elulu of Mopa and chairman Mopamuro Local Government Traditional Council, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun gave the commendation during the peace and security meeting of heads of security agents, graded traditional rulers and land owners in Mopamuro Local Government Area at Mopamuro.

The security meeting was at the instance of the chairman to address the various security challenges in Mopamuro Local Government Area.

The Elulu praised the council chairman for summoning the peace and security meeting and advised him to ensure a centralized permit in the area.

He emphasized the need for a special security funds to enhance quick response to criminal activities at areas that are hard to reach.

Oba Muyiwa Ibeun equally called for profiling of visitors to the area to control the influx of illegal immigrants and refugees.

The Elulu of Mopa also commended the Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving security a top priority.

Responding, the Chairman of the Local Government, Ademola Bello Destiny also praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his proactive measures and for providing the necessary tools in ensuring that the people of Kogi State go to bed with their two eyes closed.

The chairman frowned at indiscriminate felling of economic trees, leasing and selling of lands wrongfully, illegal mining and other social vices saying the act will no longer be tolerated in the Local Government.

Mr Ademola urged the traditional rulers and security agents in the area to be on the watch out now that the area is in the rainy season stressing that this is the time farmers/ herders crisis are prevalent in the area.

He warned that anyone caught destroying farmlands will be dealt with decisively and shown the way out.

The Divisional Police Officer in the area Mr Akomolafe V A praised the chairman for his proactive measures in tackling crime and thanked him for providing logistics supports to the security agents in the area and appealed for more supports.

Mr Akomolafe said security is not a one man business and called on all to provide useful information in order to curb the excesses of men of the underworld.
