Kogi First Lady Felicitates With Citizens On Eid el-Fitr, Calls For Sustenance Of Virtues Of Ramadan

Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Ododo, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah and citizens of the state as Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid el Fitr.

In her message to the people of the state, Mrs Ododo congratulated Muslim faithfuls on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast saying the period was a time of perseverance whose lessons must not be easily forgotten.

While emphasizing the importance of nurturing those teachings, the Wife of the Governor admonished the people to sustain the virtues of patience, sacrifice and generosity exhibited during the fasting period.

“As we bid farewell to the sacred month of Ramadan, it is important for us to embrace the spirit of patience, sacrifice, and kindness, reflect on the gains of Ramadan and imbibe these virtues so as to uplift our communities, and gain Allah’s blessing.” Hajia Sefinat noted

She reiterated her call for fervent prayers at all times coupled with the fear of Allah and the right actions so as to transform the society while shaping households.

The Wife of the Kogi state Governor appealed to women across the state to remain dedicated to excelling in their chosen endeavours while strengthening support for their spouses in mutual respect.

The home front she asserted, must not be allowed to disintegrate due to its immense impact on the entire nation.

Mrs Ododo urged the people to celebrate in modesty, avoid acts inimical to peace and harmony and ensure good neighbourliness.

“As we celebrate this Eid el Fitr, it is my wish that we avoid violence and always remember the needy among us. Let us celebrate with them and ensure that they have a sense of belonging as well.” Mrs Ododo stated.

Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo encouraged citizens of the state to continue to support the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for him to continually deliver on his promises to the people of the state.
